Octiv & Vitality Partnership
I am an Octiv client & would like to join the Vitality Network
What this means for you:
You have the chance to opt-in to add your studio to the Vitality endorsed network of partners by being an Octiv client and finalising the Vitality vetting process.
Your members, as well as members visiting your studio will be able to link their Vitality membership in the Octiv app and earn Vitality points for attending sessions at your studio – using the Octiv app.
This adds value to your members by rewarding them for attending your studio, as well as provides you with a new marketing tool to attract and retain members.
You will be added to the Vitality approved network partners list, which is shared on the Discovery website and accessible to anyone interested in joining a fitness/wellness studio.
How the points will work:
Physical Sessions
Members will be awarded 100 points per session for attending a physical session at your studio.
Virtual Classes
Members will be awarded 50 points for attending a virtual class that you can offer through the Octiv app.
What are the fees to be on the Vitality network, through Octiv?
- Once off activation fee of R1000 ex VAT upon approval
- R250pm ex VAT pay as you go to be on the network

The following information from each facility must be sent to the Vitality team via [email protected] and cc Octiv team ([email protected]). Please make sure to add your Facilities name you are vetting in the subject line of the email:
Octiv will do all the heavy lifting to make sure your clients keep earning their Vitality points. Points earning is only the first step of Octiv’s partnership with Vitality and the upcoming plans which will be launched later this year promise a ton of value for your studio as well as members.
Registered facility/ company name with Facility owner/ manager name and contact details.
Type of facility
Types of facilities that will be considered:
Fitness Boxing or Shadow boxing
Medical facilities with a fitness centre or biokinetics centre
Dance studios
Cycling facilities
Sports facilities and boot camps
Functional training facilities
Sports clubs
Yoga and Pilates studios
Traditional gyms
CPR certificate of at least Level 1 First Aid training that has been conducted within 3 years of the application.
Images of the facility including the entrance, gym workout floor, studio rooms, parking lot, bathrooms and the access-controlled area/entrance.
Once the above has been sent through to Vitality and Octiv, Vitality will be in contact with you regarding the approval of your facility and Vitality will be enabled on your Octiv account.
I am an Octiv client & on the Vitality iPad Network and would like to combine the functions
You can now activate the Discovery Vitality function on your Octiv profile. Your Vitality clients will be able to earn Vitality fitness points for attending your facility through Octiv, PLUS you’ll be able to manage it all from one platform.
How to move your fitness facility from the Vitality iPad network to Octiv
To move over from the iPad to the Octiv Vitality function, please email [email protected] and cc in the Octiv team ([email protected]) to let Vitality and us know you’d like to “opt-in” and move over. Please make sure to mention your facility name in the sub-line of the email and make clear of the move over.
How fees are charged when you move from the Vitality iPad network to Octiv
As an existing Vitality iPad facility, you won’t have to pay the once-off Vitality activation fee of R1 000 (excl. VAT) to join the Octiv network. Plus, if you’ve already paid your annual Vitality iPad application fee, Vitality will transfer this amount as a credit towards your monthly Vitality Octiv membership fee of R250 p/m (excl. VAT). The amount credited to your Vitality Octiv membership will be calculated from the month that you join the Octiv & Vitality network. These credit amounts will be calculated and discussed with you by Vitality.
Until then, you’ll continue to access the Vitality iPad application so your clients can keep earning Vitality fitness points and getting rewarded.
